Abby Dees

Abby Dees is an attorney and the principal of Abby Dees Consulting. Ms. Dees develops and helps to implement effective diversity management programs for her clients. From 2001 to 2005, Abby Dees worked as an attorney for the Center for Health Justice in Los Angeles, where she continues to serve as a board member (former Board President) and legal consultant. Prior to her time with Health Justice, she was an Americorps attorney for the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles. Ms. Dees has been an editor for St. Lynn's Press for the last four years. Throughout Ms. Dees's legal career she has emphasized the use of constructive communication to address clients' issues over conventional adversarial approaches; this model is at the heart of her writing and consulting work.

Ms. Dees is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Law (1999) and received her MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University Los Angeles (2007).
