David W. Bracken, Ph.D.

 

David W. Bracken, Ph.D. is Vice President at OrgVitality LLC where he provides leadership for the coaching and 360 feedback practices. He also has deep expertise and experience in organizational surveys, culture change, performance management, competency models, management coaching, and change management. Dr. Bracken is also a Certified Professional Coach (College of Executive Coaching).

 

Dr. Bracken began his career with management positions within personnel research functions at Xerox Corporation and BellSouth. In both instances, he managed the company-wide employee survey programs and was the representative to the Mayflower Group survey consortium.  Since 1988, he has been a consultant with organizations that include NCS, PDI, Towers Perrin, William M. Mercer (now Mercer HR), Mercer Delta Consulting, and Kenexa. Dr. Bracken has also served as an adjunct faculty member at the Rochester Institute of Technology and St. John Fisher College.

 

Dr. Bracken is the senior editor and contributor to The Handbook of MultiSource Feedback (Jossey-Bass, 2001) along with co-editors Carol W. Timmreck and Allan H. Church.  Dr. Bracken has published other books and articles on 360 degree feedback and organization surveys, including “Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Employee Surveys” with Karen Paul (Training & Development, 1995).

 

Dr. Bracken received his B.A. from Dartmouth College and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Georgia Tech in industrial/organizational psychology. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Society of Consulting Psychology, the International Coach Federation, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
