Webinar Description
Bring Your Own Personal Device (BYOD) to work has become commonplace in recent years. The proliferation of portable, personal technology has created an environment where it is nearly inevitable that employees will be permitted to use personal devices to access company data and systems. Though the associated benefits of BYOD are well-known, the law is not clear about the extent of the privacy of information on a device owned by an employee and used for work. The legal uncertainties are further complicated by alternative programs such as the use by employees of Corporate Owned Personally Enabled (COPE) devices. This webinar by two data protection and privacy lawyers will review the applicable legal issues and teach you how to implement a successful, legally-sound BYOD program, from drafting policy language to managing the security of employees’ devices.
