Effective Performance Reviews for Problem Employees: How to Begin the Rehabilitation

Duration: 90 minutes

Speaker: Teri Morning

Webinar Description

Every manager will have at least one dysfunctional and/or non-performing employee. Worse, they may inherit that problem employee from another manager.

Now it’s time for their performance review.

Performance reviews can be time consuming and challenging even with talented employees. With problem employees, you have to come up with a supportive yet firm way to cause this person to recognize and change their ways. You have to make a plan that will work.

The reality is your work is just beginning with the performance review.  The review won’t change anyone overnight. However, by conducting an effective review you can set the stage for a plan that will either begin to move the employee towards being a productive member of the team or move the employee to another job for which he or she is better suited.

This webinar will cover how managers can use a performance review to influence improvement in the performance of problem employees and how to manage that problem employee and mitigate their negative effect on their colleagues. Then you can spend your time and effort to create an environment in which employees are engaged and motivated to do their best job every day.
