President Obama’s Executive Actions on Immigration – What They Mean for Employers
Duration: 60 minutes
Speaker: Bruce E. Buchanan
Webinar Description
On November 20, 2014, President Obama issued a number of Executive Actions which will allow millions of undocumented workers to obtain work authorization cards for three years and avoid deportation. The Executive Actions will also better enable U.S. businesses to hire and retain highly skilled foreign-born workers and expand opportunities for companies to hire foreign-born graduates through Occupational Practical Training (OPT), especially in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields. These Executive Actions have critical business ramifications for immigration law compliance in the workplace, that HR professionals, executives, and attorneys need to know. During this 60 minute webinar, immigration lawyer Bruce Buchanan will discuss the new legal issues relating to immigrant workers and how you can insure compliance with regard to your employees.
