What Employers Need to Know to Comply with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act –Now and for the Future
Duration: 90 minutes
Speaker: Sarah Ivy
Webinar Description
This webinar, conducted by attorney Sarah K. Ivy, is designed to prepare employers for the impact of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). The webinar will provide attendees with expert perspectives and advice that will clarify how health care reform will impact employers nationwide, now and in the future.
Ms. Ivy will describe the legal challenges and opportunities emerging from this law. The Affordable Care Act is a very complex law that has a major impact on employers, individuals, insurers, and government agencies. Ms. Ivy will discuss compliance with the Act’s provisions already in effect, as well as the “pay or play” penalty provisions that will become effective in 2015 (originally 2014). Employers with 50 or more full-time employees (and full-time equivalents) must begin preparing for full compliance with the Act. Compliance will certainly have a serious financial implication for an employer’s bottom line.
