Webinar Description

With so many employees working remotely, a debilitating drought in viable applicants, and the current cultural leaning toward personal “uniqueness,” employee dress codes are becoming more challenging to enforce than ever before.  From visible tattoos to wild hair colors and the use of sweatpants as “business casual,” employee appearance makes a decisive statement about your company’s core values.  While some workplaces have embraced these changes, citing them as embracing diversity, others are battling this trend, trying desperately to enforce their decade-old dress codes.  Are there other considerations in employee etiquette that may be equally, or even more important, to public relations than a tongue piercing or purple hair?   In short, how do we win the battle and the war on appearance?

If you are experiencing employee appearance challenges or have concerns about employee etiquette, this program is for you.  We’ll discuss employee appearance and presentation, including dress, tattoos, piercings, hair, facial hair issues and other aspects of personal appearance in both live and remote workspaces.   We’ll also move beyond employee dress; we’ll discuss how employees project themselves to others and the necessary etiquette considerations in communication.  We will also discuss options and alternatives for employee policies, procedural enforcement, and other best practices.
