Webinar Description & Agenda

Although the COVID pandemic is still alive, we are finally moving out of the COVID-fear pandemic.  So, what does that mean for the workplace?  Four primary areas of the workplace remain affected most by changes caused by COVID:  financial safety, physical safety, psychological safety and legal safety.  Looking at these four areas of concern, this webinar will discuss issues such as:

1.  Physical safety - new tricks and trades for keeping the workplace safe, such as paper bags to absorb moisture as an inhibitor of illness, scientific data which decreases overall likelihood of illness, avoiding problems when the six-foot rule cannot be followed, and nail salon lights to help kill the COVID virus.

2.  Psychological safety -- we will discuss how to manage: the huge upswing in the use of  psychotropic medications, such as cannabis and anti-anxiety pills; fears of COVID; and travel concerns when quarantine just is not possible and other complex psychological concerns.

3.  Financial safety -- we will look at: technology that will assist employees in working effectively from home, such as internet phones and cell phone scanners; apps that assure better tracking of work hours; and online conference tools to assure professionalism in and out of the office.

4.  Legal safety -- we will reexamine the legal demands of the workplace, such as: the FLSA's payment requirements, HIPAA's privacy demands, the interaction between FMLA and the FFCRA, the new COVID Emergency FMLA; and the ADA's role in today's environment.
