Webinar Description

The term “productivity,” a once mutually beneficial concept in the workplace, now has become a huge issue separating employers and their employees.  For employers, productivity has become an absolute need in a shrinking workplace and offsite operations.  For employees, productivity has become a debilitating curse preventing them from taking a break, answering a personal call or using the restroom.

The law is fundamentally unhelpful in improving workplace culture. Legally, employers have been entitled to do nearly anything to maximize productivity, from unlimited work hours with no breaks, to invasive employee surveillance.  If their workers did not agree, they were free to quit as at-will employees.  Because of this divide, employees are more disengaged than ever, quietly quitting, or setting up for workplace rebellions.  Combined with the challenge of finding new employees, employers need to find a balance in the workplace in order to survive, if not thrive.

So, how is this balance to be accomplished?  How does an employer ensure reasonable demands are made on its employees without overstepping the boundaries?  How does an employer assess whether their worker monitoring systems are overly invasive?  And how does an employer seek to engage or reengage the employees they still possess?

This program will address these difficult questions and assist employers with best practices to improve their workplace culture.
