Webinar Description

The light is visible at the end of our year-long tunnel:  the vaccines are rolling out and flowing into American arms.   But this doesn’t mean employers can stop worrying about employees with disabilities.  Far from it!  As more and more employees --- many of whom have grown used to working remotely --- are being brought back to their workplaces, they are self-disclosing disabilities they hope will keep them working from home.

And this is only the tip of the iceberg.  Anticipate dealing with some of the millions of long-haulers… those COVID-19 victims who continue to struggle with the lingering after-effects of the disease.  Then there are those who have been traumatized by loss of a loved one… or are battling depression as a consequence of the lifestyle and economic disruptions of the past year.

Bottom line: Being adept at dealing with disabilities has never been more challenging or more urgent than it is today.  This webinar aims to provide attendees with the requisite knowledge of the legal requirements of the ADA, the 1973 Rehabilitation Act, the “serious illness” and “wounded warrior” categories of the Family & Medical Leave Act, typical state workers’ compensation laws, and other relevant state statutes in the mix.

The webinar will cover:
