Robert Brown

Rob Brown is an ESOP attorney with over 35 years of experience in governance, ERISA and tax matters. He represents ESOP trustees, ESOP owned corporations, special board committees and selling shareholders. He has written and spoken extensively about a variety of ESOP topics, including ESOP structure, fiduciary responsibility, repurchase obligation, and governance issues. Rob is a professional member of the NCEO, the ESOP Association, and the Ohio Employee Ownership Center. He is a Founding Member of the New York Employee Benefits Conference, Inc. (Director, 1980-1987; Vice President, 1980; President, 1981-1982) and a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America (tax law) since 1993, and is a Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel.
