The Secret to Paying Your Employees Fairly

Duration: 90 minutes

Speaker: Sam Reeve

Webinar Description

Fair Pay, Equal Pay, Adjusted Pay Gap, Pay Equity… The variety of terms bandied about is often confusing. So, it should not be surprising that despite numerous laws and regulations, what constitutes “fair” pay remains controversial worldwide.  Ensuring that all employees receive a fair and livable wage for their contributions irrespective of non-compensable factors such as gender, sexual orientation, age, race, etc. should be a concern for all businesses.

Looking at the gender factor alone we see the issue. Here in the U.S., on average, women make 83 cents to every dollar a man earns. If we widen our view to the world stage, we discover that fewer than 50% of countries have laws prohibiting gender discrimination, which drops that number to 77 cents across the globe.

As the demand for pay transparency increases, the importance of fair pay cannot be overemphasized. By demonstrating a commitment to pay equity, you foster greater employee performance and their investment in your company’s success.
